Give To Lincoln DAY May 26th; Many Non-Profit Charities Benefit from NGC hosting Events in THE o&20th lot

NGC is proud to donate to local non-profit causes via Give To Lincoln Day, O Lot’s Drive N Drop and the Telegraph District Block Party. All the collaborators have a lot of fun out in NGC’s parking lot hosting “charity island” collection tables stocked with free treats, collateral and information. NGC’s O Lot is perfectly positioned to have vehicles turn off O Street and drive in, pop over and drop off donations! Items collected and disbursed to those in need include cozy blankets, stuffed animals, gently used & new clothing, socks, shoes, mittens, hats, cleaning solutions & paper products, jackets & coats and hygiene goods. Many important organizations benefited: Food Bank of Lincoln, VFW Post 131 + Auxiliary, Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties (The Gathering Place), American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Nebraska, KVC Nebraska (Foster Care Non-Profit Org), Near South Neighborhood Association, LNK Libraries Read Aloud Lincoln, and Christian Heritage CHNE Families Together Program. A special thanks to Scooter’s Coffee for donating free coffee and desserts to all of the various ‘charity island’ events!

NGC partnered with two other companies to support these aforementioned charities in a sweet and unique manner at the Telegraph District Block Party. On May 21st, White Castle Roofing purchased sandwiches at cost from Chick-fil-A SouthPointe Pavilions located on 27th near Pine Lake Road, to offer gratis at NGC’s snack table in exchange for cash donations. Chick-fil-A provided delicious fare, while WCR continued to run deliveries of the food in hot boxes and NGC manned and collected the gifted monies. The total amount was divvied equally among all the participating TDBP 501s!
