‘Chateau at Yankee Hill’ Breaks Ground

Lincoln—October 15, 2020—New Generation Construction, NGC, the general contracting firm constructing Chateau Development’s new multi-family project, broke ground for phase I. The site is located at Yankee Hill Road just east of S. 40th Street. Phase I consists of a 166-key multi-family building with parking garage and a state-of-the art fitness center, club house and leasing office. Phase I is scheduled to be completed in approximately two years, then construction of phase II will begin. Once fully completed, this 866-key 18-building multi-family complex will have four-story apartment buildings with underground parking and two-story garden-style townhomes. The design of the development will maintain the beautiful lush green spaces and existing ponds. The architecture firm designing the project is studio951, a division of Shive-Hattery.

“NGC is honored to be selected by Chateau Development as the construction manager partner for the Chateau Development at Yankee Hill. This project design by Dave Johnson’s team at studio951, a division of Shive-Hattery, for Chateau will set a new standard for multi-family developments in South Lincoln offering residents amenities and a community environment not found anywhere else in the city,” said Justin Hernandez, President of NGC. “We are excited to move forward with the construction of this great project and we will be celebrating the opening the first phase in about two years.”

Dave Johnson, Office Director of studio951, a division of Shive-Hattery spoke about the synergy of the teams, “It’s been such a pleasure designing the newest addition to Chateau Development’s portfolio. With Chateau Development, studio951, and NGC’s combined experience in the industry, we feel like this is a truly collaborative partnership. Partnerships like this are what take great projects to the next level, and we know that the caliber of this project is going to be one-of-a-kind in the Lincoln market.”

When asked about launching a new, large multi-family project in Lincoln, Stefan Gaspar, President and Manager of Chateau Development, said, “We feel privileged to be part of the Lincoln community. We are excited to add to the variety of fine living choices and strive to make a positive contribution to the City.”
