New Generation Construction, NGC, is in the process of excavation and setting up the foundations for Canopy Park. NGC’s field teams are pouring the concrete for the footings and benching the pit.
Canopy Park is a multi-family, mixed-use project located on the corner of Canopy and N Street in Downtown Lincoln. Once completed in the latter half of 2022, this 218,000 SF residential complex will consist of 253 apartments on 6-stories with commercial space on the first floor along the east side. The west side of the building will be next to a new city parking garage.
NGC’s Field Superintendent Shawn Larabee said, “This is an exciting project with a great urban design. There will be an open courtyard in the middle of the U-shape building with green space and a pool.”
The NGC Team is familiar with construction in the Haymarket as NGC completed the construction of Canopy Row in late 2018 where the old Lumberworks Yard was once located. Canopy Row is a 53-unit, 4-story Mixed-Use residential-retail complex on the corner of 7th and N Street. This Multi-Family project won an ABC Excellence in Construction Award. Other NGC Haymarket District-Downtown Lincoln projects include Arena Lofts, Cadillac Lofts, Hurts Donuts, Latitude Apartments, Swanson Russell, 605 City Offices, Rodizio Grill and multiple projects for UNL.
