NOW OPEN: NGC's Telegraph Lofts East Multi-Family Living & Mixed-Use Building

NGC proudly announces the opening and finalization of Telegraph Lofts East. This 5-story, ground-up, multi-family, commercial-retail, mixed-use project has its certificate of occupancy and is actively accepting tenants. Located on the east side of the new urban development called the Telegraph District, it is positioned on the southeast corner of 21st and N Streets. 

Telegraph Lofts East has 60 apartments with 23,000 SF of retail and 34,000 SF of office space, totaling 141,000 SF. The office space on level four, with extra-high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, overlooks Antelope Creek trails, while the capitol building can be seen by looking westerly! NGC’s Senior Project Manager Eric Neff describes the lower level commercial spaces: “The shells are suited for retail and restaurants with raised seating, potential kitchens in the split loft area, and the large interior space connects to an outdoor patio that stretches along the entire west side of the building.”

The iconic entrance, facing northwest, opens to a beautiful lobby complete with telegraph-telephone museum items, including an antique service truck on display; it is mounted on the lobby wall, securely of course! The Telephone Pioneer Museum is now located in the ‘hangar building’ just a half of a block south of Telegraph Lofts (The museum is temporarily closed due to the pandemic, so check the hours of operation before planning a visit). To the right of the lobby there’s an additional lower level 3,000 SF commercial space and another retail/restaurant space on the northeast end, which opens to yet another cozy outdoor patio!

The luxury apartments are similar with modern color schemes, conveniences, and a powerful internet access plan by Allo, but there are custom variances available and many options in layouts, numbers of bedrooms, apartment size and balconies. 

After the snow melts, final touches with landscaping and decorative screening will be installed. The Telegraph District is coming to fruition rapidly after several years of collaborative pre-planning and many discussions about how best to reinvigorate Eastern Downtown Lincoln and create a high-quality, desirable urban neighborhood.

A sister building is being launched now by NGC and Speedway Properties in the District called Telegraph Lofts West. This twin project will mirror the East Building in structure and purpose, except it has 36 apartments, 84,000 SF and is located on the southwest corner of 21st and N.
